The meal was wonderful and does definitely add to the day. The tour of the Russell house was well led and honestly, more interesting than I had thought it might be. Everyone enjoyed the museum, and all the different information is offers. I will share, there were a couple of Vietnam Veteran's who recognized the picture of a Soldier they served with in Vietnam from the interactive FACES to go with NAMES display you have. One printed off the name to take with him. Nice moment to see.

It was such a wonderful experience for our family to watch my Grandpa's veteran interview. I knew some of my Grandpa's experiences in the Korean War, but this candid conversation painted such a vibrant picture. Some things were hard to hear and, even with the star of the show in the room with us, we were left breathless at how easily he could have been killed or maimed. And he tells his story with such humor, a characteristic that still remains sharp as ever despite his slowly declining health. It was a marvel to think how lucky he was to have survived; and without that luck I would not be here. Thank you for selecting him to tell his story through your Oral History Project. It was a true joy for our family to hear it.

Stirring memorial. The story of the Sullivan Brothers is very inspirational. It is hard to attend the museum without tearing up over the story of these 5 brave men all losing their lives while defending our freedom. Definitely a "must see" for any vets and their families.

Everyone immensely enjoyed their time and lunch at the Veterans Museum. As always, there is never enough time to spend looking at everything in the museum! Learning more about the Five Sullivan Brothers and the world map showing the progression of events during WWII were especially rewarding.

This museum has its act together! From entrance to exit we were never once left wanting something to see! The exhibits were ALL wonderfully thought out, precise, and beautifully arranged, extremely artistic and tasteful. The only thing I regret is that I didn't set aside a whole day to see everything. This museum did veterans history right! Great way to celebrate our military.

An unexpected gem. This is a must-see if you're traveling in the Cedar Valley or especially if you're a local. Excellent displays about the history of various wars our country has gone through with a unique emphasis on how they affected Iowans. Very educational and informative. Awesome and humble reminders about the sacrifices people were willing to make and not just the soldiers but those who were left behind at home also contributed greatly. This museum turned out to be bigger and better than I would've imagined and in some ways can rival that of what you would see in a big city. As with most museums you can go at your own pace and make it quick. But if you're interested in more details even a moderate pace could allow you to spend a few hours here.

I loved the focus on Iowa's participation in all of the wars. Wonderful area pride and personalization of these national events. I also learned so much about the role of agriculture and manufacturing, something not often seen in other war museums. The dog tags were great fun! Overall, well done! Wonderful!
