Thank you for hosting a very successful day yesterday. It was well received by the group, and we will certainly revisit this trip in the future. The meal was wonderful and does definitely add to the day. The tour of the Russell house was well led and honestly, more interesting than I had thought it might be. Everyone enjoyed the museum, and all the different information is offers. I will share, there were a couple of Vietnam Veteran's who recognized the picture of a Soldier they served with in Vietnam from the interactive FACES to go with NAMES display you have. One printed off the name to take with him. Nice moment to see.

The Sullivan Brothers Iowa Veterans Museum has been collecting oral histories from Iowa veterans since 2003. Currently the museum has over 1500 interviews from 70 Iowa counties.

Museum Sites

Established in 1932, the Grout Museum District is widely acknowledged as one of the cornerstones of culture in Northeast Iowa. Accredited by the American Association of Museums, the Grout Museum District includes five distinct properties:

	Sullivan Brothers Iowa Veterans Museum The Sullivan Brothers Iowa Veterans Museum honors the service and sacrifice of all Iowa veterans from the Civil War to present.
	Grout Museum of History and Science Permanent and continually changing exhibitions of area history, regional flora and fauna.
	Carl A. & Peggy J. Bluedorn Science Imaginarium This hands-on science center makes learning scientific principles fun through interactive exhibits and formal demonstrations.
	Rensselaer Russell House Museum Listed on the National Register of Historic Places, the Russell House is often cited as Iowa's finest example of Italianate architecture.
	Snowden House The culturally and historically rich Snowden House is available for rent. Its charming Victorian Italianate exterior adds elegance to any event.
